Dr. Mary Hancock is a powerhouse in business education, financial strategy, and grant acquisition—recognized nationally for her expertise in bridging the gap between vision and funding. With over 25 years of experience across education, entrepreneurship, and public service, she is a trusted authority on business development, curriculum leadership, and unlocking capital for small businesses and nonprofits.

Currently, she serves as the Business Funding Coach at Kingdom Builders Business University (KBBU), teaching students how to secure grants, build sustainable funding pipelines, and confidently structure their businesses. She also leads Hancock Consulting Group, LLC, a consulting firm that helps entrepreneurs, churches, government entities, and nonprofits implement winning funding strategies and operational excellence. Under her guidance, clients have secured millions in funding and transformed their administrative and financial infrastructures for scalable growth.

Dr. Hancock holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Carolina, a Master’s in Agribusiness, and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from South Carolina State University. She is a certified entrepreneurship instructor, licensed life insurance agent, and a veteran-status financial educator.

Her professional experience spans federal contracting, high school business education, customer service leadership, and military service. As a former business educator in the South Carolina public school system, she taught marketing, entrepreneurship, accounting, and personal finance to thousands of students, helping them develop real business plans, master digital skills, and prepare for college or careers. Her deep involvement in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), curriculum design, and technology integration has kept her at the forefront of industry trends.

As a former customer service manager, Dr. Hancock led diverse teams, trained staff on technical systems, and handled complex customer issues with professionalism and emotional intelligence. Her military background as a squad leader instilled a strong respect for structure, communication, and accountability—values she imparts to entrepreneurs today.

Dr. Hancock is also an accomplished author, public speaker, and published researcher. Writing her first book in 2006 and completing her doctoral dissertation sharpened her ability to communicate effectively across audiences—a skill she applies in classrooms, boardrooms, and consulting engagements.
